He swam in the river
Where the crocodiles lived,
The alligators waited to strike!
They once lived together in peace,
Once allies turned enemies
The farther he swam the closer they got,
Blinded by rage and detest
They conspired against him.
In confusion and pain,
He swam even rigorously.
At every stop where he sought comfort,
He was despised and hated,
Even treated as an outcast.
At last he found acceptance
At a stop only him could reach
Void of people or voices
Filled with mirrors and shadows.
He realized that his freedom was dependent,
On the engagement of what he found
Or he would wallow in pain
And live alone all his life
